One Fact Behind Many Facts and All Belong to One (part 2)

 Prophecies of Prophet Muhammad in the Bible:

Message (15)

Prophecy (1) of prophet Muhammad in the Bible:

“I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth,

and he will tell them everything I command him.” (The Holy Bible, New International Version,

Deuteronomy chapter 18, verse 18).

The prophet described in the above verse must have the following three characteristics:

1. He will be like Moses. In case both of them were born in a natural way and both died natural deaths.

2. He will come from the brothers of the Israelites whom the Jewish nation is from, i.e. the Ishmaelites

whom  the Arab nation is from

3. God will put His words in the mouth of that prophet and he will declare what God commanded him.

Both were given God’s words by the angel Gabriel, and Mohammed’s task was only to repeat what he

heard. These words are written down in the Qur’an, word for word exactly as they came from God.

Message (16)

Prophecy (2) of prophet Muhammad in the Bible:

God says: “I will punish anyone who refuses to obey him” (Good News Bible, Deut. 18:19).

Irrefutable proof of The Prophet(sallallahu alayhi wasallam). All those who believe the Bible to be

the word can not deny this. All those who acknowledge this and dismiss can not say they were not

informed.

Message (17)

Prophecy (3) of prophet Muhammad in the Bible:

From the book of Isaiah (42) (1: 25)

42 “Here is my servant, whom I uphold,

    my chosen one in whom I delight;

I will put my Spirit on him,

    and he will bring justice to the nations.

2 He will not shout or cry out,

    or raise his voice in the streets.

3 A bruised reed he will not break,

    and a smouldering wick he will not snuff out.

In faithfulness he will bring forth justice;

4     he will not falter or be discouraged

till he establishes justice on earth. In his teaching, the islands will put their hope.”

5 This is what God the Lord says—

the Creator of the heavens, who stretches them out,

    who spreads out the earth with all that springs from it,

    who gives breath to its people,

    and life to those who walk on it:

6 “I, the Lord, have called you in righteousness;

    I will take hold of your hand.

I will keep you and will make you

    to be a covenant for the people

    and a light for the Gentiles,

7 to open eyes that are blind,

    to free captives from prison

    and to release from the dungeon those who sit in darkness.

8 “I am the Lord; that is my name!

    I will not yield my glory to another

    or my praise to idols.

9 See, the former things have taken place,

    and new things I declare;

before they spring into being

    I announce them to you.”

Song of Praise to the Lord

10 Sing to the Lord a new song,

    his praise from the ends of the earth,

you who go down to the sea, and all that is in it,

    you islands, and all who live in them.

11 Let the wilderness and its towns raise their voices;

    let the settlements where Kedar lives rejoice.

Let the people of Sela sing for joy;

    let them shout from the mountaintops.

12 Let them give glory to the Lord

    and proclaim his praise in the islands.

13 The Lord will march out like a champion,

    like a warrior he will stir up his zeal;

with a shout he will raise the battle cry

    and will triumph over his enemies.

14 “For a long time I have kept silent,

    I have been quiet and held myself back.

But now, like a woman in childbirth,

    I cry out, I gasp and pant.

15 I will lay waste the mountains and hills

    and dry up all their vegetation;

I will turn rivers into islands

    and dry up the pools.

16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known,

along unfamiliar paths I will guide them;

I will turn the darkness into light before them

    and make the rough places smooth.

These are the things I will do;

    I will not forsake them.

17 But those who trust in idols,

    who say to images, ‘You are our gods,’

    will be turned back in utter shame.

Israel Blind and Deaf

18 “Hear, you deaf;

    look, you blind, and see!

19 Who is blind but my servant,

    and deaf like the messenger I send?

The affirmation of Prophet Muhammad’s prophecy in the Holy Quran.

Message (18)

Those who follow the Messenger, the unlettered prophet, whom they find written in what they have

of the Torah and the Gospel, who enjoins upon them what is right and forbids them what is wrong and

makes lawful for them the good things and prohibits for them the evil and relieves them of their burden

and the shackles which were upon them. So they who have believed in him honored him, supported him

and followed the light which was sent down with him – it is those who will be successful.

      (9:111)

Message (19)

The confirmation of Prophet Muhammad’s message in the Old Testament in the Holy Quran.

And [mention] when Jesus, the son of Mary, said, “O children of Israel, indeed I am the messenger

of Allah to you confirming what came before me of the Torah and bringing good tidings of a messenger

to come after me, whose name is Ahmad.” But when he came to them with clear evidence, they said,

“This is obvious magic.

The Holy Quran and other scriptures:

Message (20)

Alif. Lam. Mim .  (1) Allah: There is no god but He, the Alive, the All-Sustaining. (2) He has revealed

to you the Book with the truth, confirming what has been before it, and has sent down the Torah and

the Injil (3)

Message (21)

( 65 :43)

When ‘Isa came with clear proofs, he said, “I have come to you with wisdom, and to explain to you

some of those matters in which you differ. So, fear Allah, and obey me. (63) Surely, it is Allah who is

my Lord and your Lord; so worship Him. This is the straight way.” (64) Then different groups,

fell into disagreement. Woe to the wrongdoers because of the punishment of a painful day! ( 65 :43)

The children of Israel in the Holy Quran:

Message (23)

O people of the Book, there has come to you Our Messenger disclosing to you much of what you

have been concealing of the Book, while He overlooks much. There has come to you, from Allah,

a Light and a clear Book; ( 15: 5)

Message (24)

   (16: 45)

We gave the children of Israel the book and the wisdom and the prophet-hood, and provided them with

good things, and preferred them above all (people of) the world, (16) And We gave them clear

proofs of the Matter (i.e. the religion). So they did not fall into disagreement out of mutual jealousy,

but after the knowledge had come to them. Surely your Lord will judge between them,

on the Day of Judgment, in the matters in which they used to differ.

Message

Message (25)

The Quran is the Last Testament revealed from God (Allah) by the angel Gabriel to

Prophet Mohammad. It is a divine constitution sent down to regulate and govern human life.

It speaks with the perfect knowledge of the Creator about His Creation. It tells the whole story of human

destiny. It educates people spiritually, morally, intellectually, and socially.

The Qur’an is defined by most Muslim scholars as it is generally Allah’s speech revealed

to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) in Arabic with  definite purposes and transmitted to us  by

continuous  testimony (Tawatur), which is collectively written in chapters consisting of 114

Surahs begin with Surah al-al-Faatiha and end with Surah al-Nas, whose recitation is

accepted as worship.

Message (26)

The Quran is considered to be the eternal miracle given to Prophet Mohammad, as proof of his

Prophethood. The essential theme of the Quran is the oneness of God (Allah). It presents many

significant concepts such as forgiveness and salvation, justice and equality, universality and unity of

message, tranquillity, and paradise, and do’s and don’ts.

Message (27)

There are many names in the Holy Quran. The most commonly used name is “Quran” (recited),

other names are Al-Kitaab “the Book”- Al-Furqan (something that differentiates between right and wrong)-

Adh-Dhikr (a reminder, worship)- Al-Huda (guidance to the path of truth)

Message (28)

The Quran is an authentic religious text. It has been preserved unchanged in its original Arabic text since

the time of revelation, as God had promised within it.

We, Ourselves, have sent down the Dhikr (the Qur’an), and We are there to protect it. (15:9)

History witnessed the fulfillment of that promise, for the Book of God remains to date exactly as it was

revealed to the Prophet Mohammad and recited by him. Immediately memorized and recorded by large

numbers of his companions, it was passed on in exactly the same form by thousands of Muslims

generation after generation up till the present day. The Qur’an of today is literally the same scripture

as was revealed to Prophet Mohammad. It has been memorized and recited precisely and accurately,

word for word, letter for a letter by Muslims all over the world. This in itself is a miracle.

Message (29)

Quran alone as the last well-preserved revelation is the final judge and the criterion to sift through

any previous scripture to discern what is the word of God and what is the word of humans; which

parts remained intact and which parts might have gone through some changes throughout history.

The term muhaymen, which appears in the Quran, in surah number 5 and verses 48 through 51,

deals specifically with this issue of the Quran being muhaymen.  This word, muhaymen in Arabic,

as Mawlana Mawdudi explains in his Commentary on the Quran, means to uphold, to safeguard or

preserve, to watch over, and to stand witness. All of these definitions apply to the Quran in its relationship

to previous scriptures. First of all, the Quran safeguards and preserves the teachings of previous prophets.

It watches over the revelations that God sent before by explaining their true meanings to negate any

confusion, misunderstanding, or misinterpretation that has arisen throughout history. It stands witness

because it bears witness, as Mawdudi says, to the word of God contained in those previous scriptures

and helps sort it out from interpretations and commentaries that were later added to them.

The Qur’an says it contains the “judgment of Allah'':

Message (30)

The Qur’an, the last well-preserved revelation, the actual revealed words of God has only one Arabic

version, and translations of its meanings only assist non-Arabic speakers to understand it. It was given

to the Prophet Mohammad in pieces over a period spanning approximately 23 years (610 CE to 632 CE).

The Prophet was 40 years old when the Qur'an began to be revealed to him, and he was 63 when the

the revelation was completed.

The Qur'an is one of the two sources which form the basis of Islam. The second source is the Sunnah

of the Prophet. What makes the Qur'an different from the Sunnah is primarily its form. Unlike the Sunnah,

the Qur'an is literally the Word of Allah, whereas the Sunnah was inspired by Allah but the wording

and actions are the Prophet's. The Qur'an has not been expressed using any human words. Its wording

is a letter for letter fixed by no one but Allah.

The Qur'an consists of 114 chapters or Surahs. It begins with the first Surah,  Al-Fatiha (The Opening)

and ends with the last Surah,  An-Nas (The Mankind). Surahs are divided into verses or ayat. These

Surahs are grouped into 30 sections (juz). Each section is divided into 4 factions (Hezib)

It is a continuing miracle containing pieces of evidence to be uncovered gradually as humans increase

in the knowledge of their universe. It does not only contain God’s final message to humanity and

legislation encompassing all spheres of human life, it also contains great aspects such as:

God existence and His uniqueness and absolute perfection,

answers to the questions related to the purpose of creation and the life hereafter,

the creation of the universe and its components and phenomena—the earth, sun, moon, stars, mountains,

wind, rivers, seas, plants, animals, and successive stages of human development.

It outlines the practical methods of earning the approval of God and obtaining peace, happiness,

and contentment in the permanent existence to come.

Surely We have sent down the Torah, in which there was guidance and light by which the prophets,

who submitted themselves to Allah, used to judge for the Jews, and (so did) the Men of Allah and

the Men of knowledge, because they were ordained to protect the Book of Allah, and they stood guard

over it. So, (O Jews of today,) do not fear people. Fear Me, and do not take a paltry price for My verses.

Those who do not judge according to what Allah has sent down are the disbelievers. ( 5:44)

And before this, there was the Book of Musa, a guide and a mercy. And this is a Book confirming (it)

in Arabic tongue, so that it may warn the wrongdoers and give good news to those who are good

in their deeds.(12: 46 )

Who is blind like the one in covenant with me,

    blind like the servant of the Lord?

20 You have seen many things, but you pay no attention;

    your ears are open, but you do not listen.”

21 It pleased the Lord

    for the sake of his righteousness

    to make his law great and glorious.

22 But this is a people plundered and looted,

    all of them trapped in pits

    or hidden away in prisons.

They have become plunder,

    with no one to rescue them;

they have been made loot,

    with no one to say, “Send them back.”

23 Which of you will listen to this

    or pay close attention in time to come?

24 Who handed Jacob over to become loot,

    and Israel to the plunderers?

Was it not the Lord,

    against whom we have sinned?

For they would not follow his ways;

    they did not obey his law.

25 So he poured out on them his burning anger,

    the violence of war.

It enveloped them in flames, yet they did not understand;

    it consumed them, but they did not take it to heart.
